The ruins of Sweetheart Abbey, Dumfries, Scotland. It was founded in 1273 by Lady Devorgilla to commemorate the death of her husband John Balliol. When he passed away Lady Dervorgilla had her husband's heart embalmed and placed in an ivory casket which she carried everywhere with her. On her own death she was buried with the heart and the monks named the abbey in memory of her.
